Richard Steel - 3rd Degree Black Belt PSBN (Pu Sa Bhum Nim)

School owner - Head instructor

Hello, I began my Kuk Sool Won training in 2005 when my good friend John Edmiston opened his school in Livingston and have been training constantly since. From the moment I started I was hooked. The martial art training is the most comprehensive in the world and for that reason you are continuously learning and always growing as a martial artist. I love the in-depth mind training Kuk Sool Won offers and the body conditioning through the practice of forms, weapons and the hundreds of techniques. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and inspiring others to be their best and benefiting peoples well being and spiritual growth. I continue to train under 5th degree Master PKJN John Edmiston of Kuk Sool Won of Livingston and Bathgate on a regular basis and Kuk Sool Won of Perth have a close relationship with their instructors and students.

I received my First Degree black belt in 2009, one of the proudest moments of my life and in 2013 promoted to 2nd degree and 4 years later promoted to 3rd degree black belt in November 2017 (the same date my first baby was born). Kuk Sool Won is a huge aspect of my life and continues to be so. After speaking with my instructor and asking for his advise, I decided that since I am going to be doing this for the rest of my life why not pursue my vision of opening a Kuk Sool Won School in Perth and give others the opportunity to learn Kuk Sool Won as well . I was approved by the World Kuk Sool Association HQ and Grandmaster Kuk Sa Nim to open a school in Perth in autumn 2017. The school opened for classes in January 2018. I have chosen Perth as I feel it is a great central location with good people and community. Having lived there a few years ago I know that there is nothing like Kuk Sool Won in the area. I want to introduce this amazing martial art with the people of Perth and I hope you can join me on this journey.  We train with no ego and with an open mind, bring positive energy and attitude with a willingness to learn and through consistent training you will grow to be your best. I look forward to meeting you and if you have questions or would like more information, please just contact me. Thanks, PSBN Richard Steel
